The Look
What Landmark ClimateFlex Looks Like and Who It Suits
On the roof, ClimateFlex keeps the familiar dimensional Landmark profile: staggered tabs and shadow lines that suit everything from Dublin colonials to newer New Albany builds. The difference is in the asphalt itself: it is blended with rubberizing polymers, so the shingle bends under impact and cold rather than turning brittle.
It suits two kinds of Central Ohio homeowners especially. The first is anyone whose neighborhood takes hail often; the UL 2218 Class 4 rating is the highest impact class the test awards. The second is anyone roofing late in the season: the shingle's cold-weather pliability gives it an advantage when a tear-off lands in November instead of June.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "rubberized, Class 4" actually mean?
The asphalt in ClimateFlex is modified with rubberizing polymers, so the shingle flexes under impact instead of cracking. Class 4 is its score under UL 2218, a standardized test that drops steel balls of increasing size onto the shingle to simulate hail. Class 4 is the highest of the four classes.
How is Landmark ClimateFlex different from NorthGate ClimateFlex?
Both are rubberized polymer-modified shingles with a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating. NorthGate ClimateFlex is CertainTeed's premium rubberized line, offered in the richer Max Def color palette, while Landmark ClimateFlex brings the same rubberized approach to the classic Landmark profile. We can price both on the same estimate so you can compare directly.
