What It Looks Like
The Wood-Shake Look With a Class 4 Impact Rating
From the curb, Presidential Shake IR is indistinguishable from the standard Presidential look: staggered, sculpted tabs with rustic edges that read as hand-split cedar rather than a flat asphalt pattern. The difference is the impact rating.
CertainTeed certifies Presidential Shake IR to UL 2218 Class 4, the highest class in the test.
Who It Suits
Homes With Large, Visible Roofs
Presidential Shake IR makes the most sense on homes where the roof is a major design feature, the traditional two-stories of Upper Arlington, custom builds in Dublin and New Albany, and where the owner wants the toughest version of the look they love.
